Madrid Spain December 2009
Here are some photos from my recent trip

Here is a picture of the airport, Jenn and Mike were nice enough to meet me at the airport and show me to ropes. It is always a little overwhelming walking out of customs in a new city. so I was glad to have Jenn and Mike meet me.

This is the Metro, we took it everywhere.

We took a high speed train to Toledo Spain which is located about 70 km south of Madrid. Toledo is one of the former capitals of the Spanish empire and place of coexistence of Christian, Jewish, and Morrish Cultures. There were a lot of sights to see and below are some pictures.

The Cathedral in Toledo Spain

The monastery complete with an orange tree. They also had this great netting over the top of courtyard so the birds couldn't come in. They are so smart.

The Alcázar of Toledo was erected by the times of the Roman empire

This is the train station where our journey started and ended of Toledo Spain and below is a picture of atocha railway station in Madrid Spain where we caught the high speed train.

We also had the opportunity to see a Real Madrid Soccer game and below are some pictures.

We also went to a local flea market and on the Prodo and there were a lot of interesting sights and people to see.
