X Games 14

A couple of weeks ago I got the opportunity to go up to Aspen to check out the X Games. Thanks to Megan and Kyle for such a great relaxing fun weekend. I headed up on Friday and we were able to catch all the events on Saturday Night which included the big air for snowmobiles, men’s skiing and men’s half pipe. What an experience that is so hard to describe something everyone should check out. We were fortunate enough to have media credentials which meant we were allowed in special areas to watch each of the events and we also had access to the media tent with warm drinks and lots of snacks. This was the snowmobile big air arena, some amazing jumps and tricks were seen. I can’t believe how these guys maneuver the sleds to do such amazing tricks.

This is the skiing big air jump; they did amazing tricks while clearing the jump that had a 120’ gap

And last but not least Shaun White with his Gold Medal around his neck and the scrape on his face from an earlier crash in the practice rounds, taking Gold in the men’s half pipe.
